How does Soch choose my daily verse?

Soch reads your calendar and location to select a verse from the Bhagavad Gita that fits your day.

Is my data stored?

Your journal entries and account sync via Firebase. Calendar and location data are not stored on our servers.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Soch → Cancel.

Privacy Policy

Soch ("we", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we access and how we use it.

What We Access

• Calendar — We read upcoming event titles and times to tailor your daily verse. We do not read descriptions, attendees, or notes.
• Location — We access your location for weather-aware verse selection and sunrise times. Coordinates are not stored or shared.
• Photo Library — Accessed only if you choose to set a profile picture.

What We Store

Your name, email (from sign-in), journal entries, and verse history are stored securely via Google Firebase to sync your experience. Your profile picture and accent color are stored locally on your device.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect analytics, device identifiers, advertising data, or browsing history. We do not sell or share data with third parties.

Google Calendar Data (Limited Use Disclosure)

Soch's use of Google Calendar data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• We only request read-only access to your calendar (calendar.readonly).
• Calendar data is used solely to generate a personalized verse for your day.
• Calendar data is processed in memory and never stored, cached, or transmitted to third parties.
• We do not use calendar data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.

Third-Party Services

Soch uses Firebase (Google) for authentication and storage, and Apple Sign-In for account creation.

Children

Soch is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected by the date above.
